Comments: For months I was having big issues with my right knee, and the pain and discomfort were increasing as days passed. I decided to look for an orthopedic surgeon, and I had heard about the Nirsch Orthopedic Center in Arlington, VA with very high ratings. I met Dr. Carlock for the first time in that office and I was very impressed with the time that he gave me, answering every single question that occurred to me. I was skeptical about having a surgery which was the last option he gave me. After going through several treatments which did not work for me, I decided to go on with the surgery. I had it in January 2026 and it was successful. I had a few setbacks due to side effects of pain medications, and he visited me at the hospital every day to be sure that I was able to walk well with the help of the hospital physical therapy group. Not many surgeons take their time to do it, but Dr. Carlock was very compassionate and paid attention to every single detail checking on my knee and following up with the other physicians who were taking care of me while being admitted. Dr. Carlock is a great surgeon, and he listens to the patient and explains everything with a lot of detail and knowledge. The recovery has been slow, to be expected, but I am getting stronger every day. I went through physical therapy at home as well as outpatient. I recommend Dr. Carlock all the way. Thanks
